REAL KINGS BACKGROUND

The history of The Real Kings

The Kings came about when the founding members King Forward and King Samurai (Now Royal Riders President) and King Monstar came together and decided to start a club after their unsuccessful stint at Hood Ratz MC. The idea was discussed amongst the three founders at Rhino Rally 2010 in Harrismith and motivated by others, later on.

The club’s first AGM was held in Tsakane, wherein first officers were elected, a name was proposed and adopted, then celebrated with a huge lunch and sharing of beer amongst the founding members.

The club experienced tremendous growth during its foundation years, attributable to its three founding members and grew to be a force to be reckoned with in the biking fraternity.

The members that remained with the original structure were, King Forward, King Monstar, King Babyface (Late), King Drizzle, King Mlilo, King Charlie, King Sinista and King Mamba. The success of our inaugural Day Jol resulted in launching the first Real Kings chapter in Newcastle, KZN on the 31 January 2011. This was a celebration of our good brand that we worked so hard to build and protect.

On a sad note, we lost two members in 2012 in close succession, King Babyface(HQ) as well as King Ndalo (Newcastle), may their humble souls rest in peace.

After suffering this ordeal, the members resolved to keep the Real Kings a close nit family of few friends going forward. So many potential kings have adorned the royal colours without success, consequently hanging them. We are proud to say that, we now have a very strict membership application process, followed by a mandatory probation period. This has ensured that we only take on and keep REAL KINGS in the Royal House as depicted in the individual membership profiles on this website.
